Leaders' Day, Meeyamgi Numit for Tengnoupal held

The 4th District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit in respect of Tengnoupal district was held at the conference hall of office of Deputy Commissioner, Tengnoupal on Friday.
Tengnoupal DC Ranjan Yumnam interacted with the village heads/ chairmen and enquired about the inconveniences faced by them in availing benefits of different welfare schemes.
He then assured of all possible help from the district administration in redressing their grievances.
A total of 23 departments opened stalls to assist and distribute scheme benefits to the people.
Five cases of hypertension, three cases of abnormal blood sugar including one case of Hyperglyceamia were detected during a health check-up camp organised as part of the event.
Police department distributed 223 police recruitment forms to aspirants, while Education Department distributed 62 sets of school uniforms.
Moreover, social welfare department distributed care giver allowance for person with disabilities to one beneficiary and registered one UDID while Forest department distributed 600 tree saplings and ICDS conducted Aadhaar enrolment drive and received 10 PMMVY forms.
PHED distributed a booklet on Soil and Waste Water Management while horticulture and soil conservation provided awareness on how to enrol for Hortnet ID/ Registration by farmers and various schemes details.
Employment Exchange received 81 applications for new registration during the event.
MSPDCL received request for electrification of Machi PHC, education department received an application for development of Machi High School and ICDS also received applications for constructions of ICDS building in Phaichambung village and Anganwadi building at Zion village.
The event was attended by 178 members of the general public, representatives of 49 villages from whom four applications related with their grievances were received in written and verbal.
DC, ASP, DFO, SDOs of Tengnoupal, Machi & Moreh, and other DLOs and officials of all the line departments of the district interacted and assisted the people who turned up for availing beneficiary schemes.
