Seminar on bamboo on Nov 7, 8

Apunba Imagi Machasing (AIMS) will organise a two-day international seminar on "Bamboo Plantation, Hardening & Bamboo as Earthquake Proof materials for Construction" on November 7 and 8 at Hotel Classic Grande, here.
The seminar will be organised in collaboration with Manipur State Bamboo Mission, Manipur University, and CSIR-NEIST, Lamphelpat.
According to a press release of AIMS, the seminar for bamboo growers, farmers, entrepreneurs, processors, fabricators, architects and engineers, will have three technical sessions - "Earthquakes in Manipur and Northeast India", "Bamboo Hardening Processes", and "Bamboo Plantation & Management".
Resource persons from reputed institutes and various parts of India will present papers on various aspects of earthquake and importance of Bamboo.
Dr Jean-Luc Kouyoumji, president Bamboo Science & Innovation & World Bamboo ambassador, will also present a paper on "Bamboo Treatment, Construction, Design, Products and Implementation".
AIMS urged farmers, entrepreneurs, architectures, interior designers, wooden fabricators and bamboo lovers to take part in the seminar to gather knowledge on various technologies pertaining to Bamboo.
