Jivan Hospital, Kakching celebrates

Health & 1PR minister Dr S Ranjan Singh has said that coordination between public and private sector is required for a better health care system.
The minister was speaking as chief guest at the foundation day celebration of Jivan Hospital, Kakching, on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ranjan assured that the government is relentlessly working to improve health care system in the state.
Many welfare health schemes have been launched at the central and state level.
While naming schemes like PMJAY, CMHT, Chief Minister's Health for All, etc., he said grassroots health care system needs to be priori tised to ensure health and safety of the citizens.
While conceding that without improvement in the primary health care system efforts to make the tertiary healthcare sector will remain fruitless, the health minister called upon the healthcare staffers to work with a sense of commitment and dedication for the welfare of the public.
"The importance of healthcare is understood by all.
Nursing care to the patients is a unique thing which is highly necessary as health professionals.
There has been a turning point in the healthcare system during the past few years.
Information Technology (IT) enabled service to the private and public sectors have become a new trend", the minister elaborated.
While commending the role played by the health staff during the Covid pandemic, Dr Ranjan said that the government is now prepared for any pandemic.
The support of private hospitals is equally important for bringing a better healthcare system in the state.
The endeavour of -the private hospitals also needs to be encouraged, the minister added.
Health Services director Dr Kh Sasheekumar Mangang and RIMS medical superintendent Dr Nepram Sanjib Singh were president and guest of honour respectively of the celebration also attended by Jivan Hospital managing director Yengkhom Ashokumar Singh.
Certificates and mementos were handed out to outstanding performers of the hospital as a part of the event.
