Imphal, July 31 2022:
Manipur Sand Association (MSA) has said that some people who claim to be members of Senapati Truck Owners' Association forcibly offloaded sand from trucks transporting the construction material from Dimapur despite possessing transit pass (TP) from Mao gate.
According to Association general secretary Gurumayum Shitaljit, some people who claim to be members of Senapati Truck Owners' Association stopped some sand loaded trucks coming from Dimapur at Tadubi on July 28 and took down some portion of sand from the trucks.
Condemning the malicious acts of the unknown people, Shitaljit urged the government to look into the matter seriously and take up necessary action immediately.
He also warned that the association might launch intense forms of agitation in coordination with Senapati based organisations like Senapati District
Students' Association, Naga People's Organisation, United Naga Council, etc., if the government fails to take action at the earliest.
He then asked if the unknown people who claim to be members of Senapati Truck Owners' Association were authorised to offload sand from trucks.
