Police enquiry on in school kids missing case

Ukhrul, July 31 2022:
Investigations are on to trace two school-going kids who went missing in Ukhrul town on July 25 last, according to Ukhrul police.
The two missing students have been identified as Sakmiyarin Kasar (13) d/o Wungarum Kasar of Sangmayang Tang, Ukhrul and AS Sorormi (14) d/o Hormi A Shimray of Marou village, Kamjong district.
Sources said that parents of the missing children lodged an FIR at the Ukhrul Police
station on July 27 last in connection with the missing case.
Accordingly, the police has registered a General Duty over the missing case and has launched investigations to trace the missing kids, police said.
However, there has been no breakthrough in the case so far.
According to report, Sakmiyarin, studying in Class VI at Maringmi Memorial School, Ukhrul and Sorormi studying in Class VIII at KTL Excel HSS,
Ukhrul were staying together at the residence of Wungarum Kasar, Sangmayang Tang.
At around 8:30 am on July 25, the two children dressed in school uniforms moved out together for their respective schools.
However, after they failed to return home even after school hours, their family members enquired their friends and even the school teachers to know whether they attended the school or not, it said.
The report said that the school teachers reported that they did not attend classes on July 25 and the following day.
Their family members launched a manhunt to trace them but couldn't succeed.
