Big wins for TCMDC, PTRC in MNCA U-14 Tournament

Imphal, July 31 2022:
The MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament on Sunday saw TCMDC (Thongju) and PTRC register comprehensive victories.
TCMDC made light work of SHADOW (Thangmeiband) in their massive 146-run win at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.
The Thongju boys chose to bat first and posted a competitive total of 234 for 8 courtesy of contributions from Laishram Valindra (67), Maibam Napoleon (60), Rain Urikhimbam (37) and Sagol-sem Rojesh (32) .
In the innings, TCMDC lost two of their wickets to S Telheiba and one each to Arubam Goshan, Chinglemba Haqbam, Thomsan, Sagatpam Lanchanba, Devis and Pebam Leshemba.
In reply, wasteful SHADOW batted through 25 overs but they could only manage 88 for 7 .
For the winning side, Rain Urikhimbam picked up 3 wickets, Vishonath Laishram took 2 and Maibam Napoleon and Phanjoubam Nikesh chipped in with 1 apiece.
Rain Urikhimbam was named man of the match.
PTRC, meanwhile, upstaged WYC (Langthabal) by 64 runs at PTRC Ground, Patsoi.
Salam Richie shone with the bat as he struck 89 to help PTRC set up 234 for 3 in 25 overs.
Stoneson was also impressive in the innings with an unbeaten 65 and Robinson Sougaijam did his bit with 40 .
In response, YWC came up short collecting 170 for 8 in 25 overs as fighting efforts by Sorokhaibam Thoungamba (45), Yumnam Athouba (38) and Pukhrambam Bonison (24) were not enough.
Laitonjam James led the PTRC bowling attack racking up 3 wickets while Salam Richie claimed 2 and Benson Yumnam, Nush Sagolsem and Henba Paonam took 1 each in their side's convincing victory.
Salam Richie was adjudged man of the match.
