Youth risks life to save boy from drowning

Displaying both courage and humanity, a 26 year old youth today saved the life of a 3 year old boy from drowning by risking his own life.
Haulunlal (3) s/o Lamminthang of Zoumunnuam and his elder brother were playing near Khuga River when he accidentally fell into the river.
On noticing that Haulunlal was immersed inside the river, his five year old brother immediately began screaming for help.
His cry for help was heard and responded by Douzalal (26) s/o Henkhosoi of Zoumunnuam who was working as a labourer in a nearby house.
The timely act of the youth saved the boy's life.
Narrating the incident, the youth who also brought the boy to the district hospital after rescuing him said, initially he thought the boys were just screaming but when he looked out to check, he saw a panic stricken boy.

When he rushed towards the river, he saw a boy's head repeatedly bobbing up and down the water.
Immediately, the youth jumped into the river and managed to rescue the boy.
The youth who rescued the boy immediately took the barely conscious boy to District Hospital Churachandpur along with some others where he was administered first aid.
The parents of the boy arrived at the hospital moments later.
They were all praise for the youth who jumped into the strong water current risking his own life to save their child.
