Free health camp conducted

Manipur Gorkha Welfare Union (MGWU) organised a free mega health camp at Gorkha Tapon village, Irang in Kangpokpi district on Sunday.
In a release, MGWU informed that over 250 patients were benefited at the medical camp during which medicines were distributed for free to the patients along with conduct of free tests like ultrasound, sugar, haemoglobin, blood pressure, etc.
Speaking on behalf of MGWU Health Wing, gynaecologist Dr Ishor Kharel mentioned that Gorkha Tapon is a very remote village with no notable motorable road and no health facilities.
He also thanked RIMS Department of ENT Dr Vephizo Keiho and Dr Gunija Soibam and Shija Hospital's Dr Rahul Pradhan for their invaluable services.
MGWU Health Wing will also organise such health camps in other parts of Manipur and appealed to the state government to do the needful for repairing the Irang-Tamei Road and the approach road to Gorkha Tapon village.
