The RD&PR Minister handed over 40 beds to Khayang Primary Residential School.
He expressed satisfaction after inspecting the construction of the 17 Kms long Lambui-Lamlang Gate road.
Khemchand noted that the road was constructed under PMGSY with due emphasis on quality.
Lauding the doctors and medical staff who conducted the medical camps, Khemchand remarked that people living in remote areas of hill districts have been enduring many difficulties in terms of education and healthcare services.
He said that the medical camps were organised considering the inconveniences faced by the three villages in accessing healthcare services.
The Minister asserted that development must reach interior areas of hill districts too in order to build a unified Manipur.
Khemchand then called upon all the people to promote hill-valley unity and make Manipur a strong and prosperous State.
The RD&PR Minister informed that the PMGSY Phase III would be sanctioned soon.
He said that the Government has been working to invite two companies based outside the State for implementation of PMGSY Phase III using German technology.
Roads would be constructed using earth, cement and chemicals and the longevity of such roads, according to companies which are acquainted with the particular technology, is 25 years, Khemchand said.
The German technology is being experimented on the 47 Kms long road from Churachandpur to Mizoram border.
If the experiment proves successful, the same technology would be applied in all the roads which would be constructed under PMGSY Phase III, Khemchand said.
Khayang village chief Wunganing expressed gratitude to Y Khemchand for coming with doctors and medical staff and organising medical camps at the remote villages.
