Free medical camp conducted

As part of the Seva Pakhwada campaign which is being organised to mark the 72nd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a two-day free health camp was conducted in three villages of Kamjong district in connection with the visit of RD&PR minister Yumnam Khemchand to Ukhrul and Kamjong districts on September 24 and 25.Speaking on the occasion, Khemchand informed that the health camp was organised with the aim of providing free healthcare to people living in remote villages, namely Khayang village (located on the Indo-Myanmar border at a distance of 93km from Shirui village, Ukhrul), Chamu village and Mapum village (Ukhrul).
Reacting to Mapum village chief s revelation that the free health camp was the first of its kind to be held in the village; the minister expressed joy on being able to provide health care in the village and assured of maximum effort to develop connectivity and resolve other issues faced by the villagers.
He then appealed to all concerned to love and care for each other, while working together to bring peace, tranquillity and development in the state.
During the camp, which was participated by around 20 doctors from health department, free medicines were also distributed.
