Edu minister to launch 'Go to Leikai' for Nambol AC

Education minister and Nambol MLA Thounaojam Basantakumar has said that he will launch 'Go to Leikai' for Nambol assembly constituency to interact with the public, who could not visit his secretariat office, and to address their grievances.
Speaking at the executive committee meeting of BJP Nambol Mandal, Basantakumar said that he is taking up different programmes he promised during the poll
campaign for a developed Nambol AC.
He said that he is discussing with department officials, especially the department he is in charge, for bringing improvement on all fronts in his constituency.
There was improper water management policy for Nambol AC and in order to mitigate the problem of flood faced by the public during rainy season, he took up several flood preventive measures after consultation with the department officials from April.
Construction of community hall and club buildings is not the only means for bringing development.
For him, development means welfare of the public and ease of living.
He is also putting his efforts in different fronts such as drinking water facilities, health card distribution, housing and construction of crematorium among others, the minister said.
He
also assured of keeping his promise of closely work with the public for their welfare and improvement of living standards.
The meeting thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit
Shah for renaming Mount Harriet into Mount Manipur, and lifting AFSPA from different parts of the northeast states.
The meeting also appreciated chief minister N Biren for implementing various
schemes and campaigns such as War against Drugs, anti-corruption, CMHT, highway patrol among others.
Apart from the minister, the meeting was attended by BJP Nambol Mandal president S Brajamani, Bishnupur district president RK Bimola, Nambol Municipal Council former chairperson Ch Basanta, Utlou GP pradhan N Sarat, Sanjenbam Pukhrambam GP pradhan N Birjit and Ishok GP pradhan S Deven.
