Manipur, Sikkim romp into final

Imphal, July 22 2022:
Manipur Sangais and Sikkim Pandas made light work of their respective opponents en route to the final of the 1st North East Women's Football League 2022 .
I Pramesnwori struck twice as Manipur strolled to a comfortable 4-0 win over Meghalaya Leopards in their semifinal encounter at SAL Takyel on Friday.
After a barren first period, the Sangais went into action mode that put the Meghalaya defence in disarray as the hosts rained goals on their opponents.
I Prameshwori set the tone for the second half four goal barrage with a 51st minute strike.
Then N Ratanbala extended the lead in the space of 10 minutes before Prameshwori collected her second and team's third goal in the 69th minute.
S Rinaroy rounded off the scoring after she found the back of the net in the 72nd minute as Manipur enjoyed an easy passage to the final.
Sikkim, meanwhile, eased past Arunachal Pradesh Tigers 3-0 as Naocha starred in their semifinal triumph.
Naocha opened the scor ing in the 34th minute after back - and - forth exchanges and she went on to double the advantage in the 69th minute.
Then Sujana Rai found the third goal in the 70th minute to make sure the Pandas ran out 3-0 winners.
Manipur and Sikkim will square off for the title on Saturday, July 23 .
