Leaders' Day, Meeyamgi Numit held in Kpi, Noney

Kangpokpi/Noney, July 22 2022:
The District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit were organised on Friday by 32 line departments at Sadbhavna Mandap, Kangpokpi town with strict adherence to COVID protocols.
All together 461 services were delivered and 31 application/ grievances received during the programme which began from 9 am onwards.
Kangpokpi deputy commissioner Kengoo Zuringla, who interacted with the public and heard their
grievances, instructed all the district level officers to guide the people in sorting out their issues at the earliest.
As a part of the programme, Revenue Department distributed 139 certificates, Forest Department 1190 saplings to 93 beneficiaries and Agriculture Department provided 65 bags of fertiliser and 19 knapsack sprayers.
The DC also took COVID vaccine and encouraged the denizens to come forward in the fight against the contagious disease.
Medical team led by the Chief Medical Officer also attended to queries of 59 individuals, administered Covid vaccines to 52 beneficiaries, carried out screening of 6 persons related to NCD and assisted in generation of one CMHA Health ID while Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department received 10 proposals for supply of planting materials.
On the other-hand, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department received application for 13 pig management and dog vaccination along with KCC loan apart from vaccinating a pet dog; Social Welfare Department provided 54 IGNOAPS & MOAP documents, seven CMHT and nine Ayushman Bharat�PMJAY health cards; Fishery Department received application for construction of 15 ponds & fish farm and Sericulture Department interacted and gave awareness to two beneficiaries.
Minor Irrigation Department also gave awareness on schemes of the department to 3 farmers as Police Department notified the chiefs of the district regarding awareness on menace of illicit poppy cultivation and PWD received 3 applications for construction of approach road and road improvement.
ADM Laishram Manikanta Singh, who is also the
District Coordinator for the District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit, oversaw smooth conduct of the event with the assistance of SDOs and their support teams.
In Noney district, the first
District Level Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit organised by the district administration was held at Longmai Part-III multipurpose hall on Friday.
The programme was launched by Noney additional DC Stiff Khapudang in the presence of SP MS Gopaldas and other district level officials.
Altogether, 14 stalls were opened by 11 departments in connection with the programme, which will be held on every 4th Friday of a month.
As a part of the programme, aid and appliances such as Wheel Chair, Rotator and MSEID Kits were distributed to Children With Special Need (CWSN) by Zonal Education Officer,
Badan Thaimei.
Speaking to media persons, ADC Khapudang explained that the main objective of the programme is to ensure participation of the people in governance.
This is the policy of the government of Manipur under the able leadership of CM N Biren to reach out to maximum number of people in the respective districts for addressing grievances and handing out relevant benefits, in transparent and
efficient manner, he said.
The programme was participated by substantial number of general population, CSO and village authority leaders.
