RNAL to focus on welfare activities of nurses

The management committee meeting of the RIMS Nurses Association, Lamphelpat (RNAL) was held at its meeting hall today presided by Tongbram Sunita Chanu, president of RNAL.
The meeting was attended by N Tangbi Devi, president of Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI), Manipur State Branch, T Tikendrajit Singh, president of All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC), A Premkumar Singh, Advisor of RNAL and TNAI, Manipur State Branch and Ningthoujam Bhopendro Singh, Bidya Bharti, Manipur among others, said a press release by RNAL.
The meeting approved the proposals brought up by N Praneshori Devi, General Secretary of RNAL to appeal to the RIMS authority to amend the recruitment rules of RIMS Nurses as per the current standard and to urge for regularisation of nurses who are on contract basis for efficient functioning.
During the meeting it was also resolved to conduct a courtesy call to the incumbent Director of RIMS acknowledging his support and co-operation towards the association and to draft the tentative budget of this term within two weeks time.
Towards the end of the session, the general secretary stressed that the association will carry out its activities in a promising manner and will prioritise on activities concerning nurses welfare.
The attendees also resolved to extend full support to RIMS administration and its activities, added the press release.
