Imphal, February 23 2022:
NCP National Secretary Narendra Verma has exuded confidence that the next Government in the State will be the coalition of NCP and other secular political parties.
He was addressing a political conference held today at the residence of Kshetrigao A/C's NCP candidate Punam Rani Wangkhem at Porompat Thawanthaba Leikai.
Narendra Verma who is also the NCP in-charge of Northeast Region asserted that the people of the State are fed up with the incumbent State Government led by BJP as the said party is only good at making tall claims instead of practically doing developmental works.
Denouncing Chief Minister N Biren's alleged statement that people in Manipur won't have survived the COVID pandemic without Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the NCP leader lampooned that the failure of the BJP Government in handling the pandemic had adding to the suffering of the people.
"The holding of a mass gathering by inviting US President Donald Trump amid the COVID pandemic at Gujarat was one of the reasons for spreading the dreaded disease to a great extent", he added.
Narendra Verma went on to say that the dearth of oxygen throughout the country during the pandemic had aggrieved the common people.
Saying that the prices of fuels and other essential commodities have skyrocketed ever since the BJP came to power in the country, the NCP National Secretary lambasted the BJP for forcefully trying to implement farm laws in the country.
He added that Manipur and India as a whole will only suffer more if the BJP is allowed to rule the country, alleging that the party tries to promote only the Corporates in the country.
The political conference was also attended by NCP, State unit leaders and candidate Punam Rani Wankghem.
