"Priority on securing reservations for students and women"

Lok Sabha MP and Janata Dal (United) Manipur in-charge Ramprit Mandal has categorically stated that priority will be given to securing reservations for students and women if a large number of JD(U) candidates emerge victorious in the ensuing State Assembly election.
Ramprit Mandal made the statement during a one-day political conference held in support of Thokchom Jadumani, JD(U) candidate for 35-Khangabok Assembly Constituency at Khangabok Mayai Leikai Public Ground on Tuesday.
Ramprit Mandal also claimed that the State will charge ahead in terms of development in the field of health, education and infrastructural sectors if JD(U) candidates take up leadership roles.
He mentioned that in Bihar, JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar has assured of cash benefit of Rs 10,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000 to Class X, XII and college students respectively and has assured 50% reservation to women in gram panchayats, zilla parishads and autonomous district councils, 35% reservation to women in state government jobs for the welfare and upliftment of women as a whole.
He further urged the people to support JD(U) candidates in order to enable the party to work for the progress of the people.
The political conference was also attended by Lok Sabha MP, Sunilkumar Pintu; Khangabok Zilla Parishad member Kh Rajmohon; S Opendro, pradhan Khangabok Part-II Gram Panchayat; Moirangthem Manglemjao, pradhan nominee, Khangabok Part-III Gram Panchayat; M Rameshwar, vice-president JD(U) Khangabok AC and Thokchom Jadumani.
