44 AR organises Ghar Ghar Aayush campaign at Kahulong village

44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 sector/IGAR(East), carried on with its unique health care initiative to reach out among local populace of Tamenglong district.
Contributing towards 'Fit India Movement' and as a part of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav", 44 Assam Rifles medical team organised a free "Door to Door" Health Checkup cum Covid Awareness camp in Kahulong village of Tamenglong district.
"Ghar Ghar Ayush" wellness cum medical camp was aimed to provide basic health care facilities and free medicines to the local residents with special focus on old age and ladies with infant children.
It holds importance as these old age persons and young mothers cannot travel long distances for receiving medical aid.
A basic medical testing lab facility was also setup.
The battalion medical team examined various age group patients.
Free general medicines were also distributed to the local villagers of Kahulong and nearby villages, A total of 119 persons were benefited.
Inaugurating the wellness cum health checkup camp, the Commandant, 44 Assam Rifles requested Community Leaders and youth organisations of the area to come forward and motivate people of their respective area for COVID vaccination and contribute towards fight against pandemic.
He also highlighted the various projects undertaken by the Battalion for improving overall health and wellbeing of the people.
He urged attendees to support battalion in improving the overall hygiene of the people and constructively contribute towards development of region.
