Messenger wayfarer accorded warm reception

State Platform of Disable People's Organisation, Manipur accorded a warm reception to Chennai resident Javed Mohamed, who has been touring India in his car to spread the message of preventing road accidents and prompt assistance to the injured victims.
Upon his arrival here on Tuesday, Javed was welcomed at Manipur Press Club by the Organisation.
In his speech, Javed Mohamed strongly called for providing first aid properly to people injured during road accidents to prevent disability and also stressed the need for proper rehabilitation of people with disabilities.
He also said that the main message of his tour throughout the country is to reduce disability due to road accidents and providing first aid to accident victim timely so as to reduce the chances of becoming disabled.
Another objective of the tour is to make the people and government authorities aware about the need of opening more rehabilitation centres for the physically impaired people.
Javed Mohamed started his tour on March 30 and reached Imphal on Tuesday.
He later met Governor La Ganesan.
He will leave Imphal for other states of the country on Wednesday.
