Two jailed in minor girls' kidnap

Imphal, April 05 2022:
The court of special judge POCSO Imphal West sent a man involved in kidnapping and raping of a 12 -year old girl to 15 days in judicial custody.
The man arrested in connection with the case has been identified as Huirem Bijesh (30) son of late Jamini of Machapara Bhilahe Badripath Part 2 in Assam but presently an employee of ABCI.
While producing Bijesh before the court, IO of the case submitted that the victim's mother filed a report to Imphal West PS on March 29 stating that her daughter was kidnapped by Bijesh from her school SK Ideal School, Ngairangbam and raped her.
Based on the report, a police team arrested Bijesh.
As part of investigation, both the rape survivor and Bijesh underwent medical test at RIMS forensic department.
As of now, the accused is yet to accept charges levelled against him but the investigation will be incomplete if the accused is granted bail and he may even threaten the victim and her family, the IO said and sought judicial remand.
Consequently, the court sent the accused to jail for 15 days for further questioning.
In another case, Special judge, POCSO Imphal East sent a man involved in outraging modesty of his own six years old daughter to jail for 15 days.
The victim's father was produced before the court by a team of Lamphel PS on Tuesday.
While seeking judicial remand for the accused father, IO of the case stated that the girl's mother filed a report at Lamphel PS on March 31 stating that her husband outraged modesty of their daughter aged around six year on March 30 at about 9 am .
Based on the report, the victim's father was arrested after registering a case.
As part of investigation rape cases of the case, police conducted medical test of both the victim and her father at RIMS forensic medical department.
In her statement to police, the victim told investigating police team that her mother had seen her father rape her on March 30 morning and such illegal act has been continuing repeatedly.
During initial questioning, victim's father admitted to all the charges made against him, the IO submitted before the court.
After a patient hearing of the IO's report, the court then sent the victim's father to 15 days in judicial custody till April 19 for further questioning.
