Imphal, July 13 2022:
Shiv Sena State unit president M Tombi has said that the party will contest upcoming IMC, ADC and local body elections but the final decision will be taken after discussion with Central leaders.
M Tombi said this at a press conference held at Shiv Sena Bhawan and added that expulsion of TT Haokip, Toijam Devan and Ninghor Jajo who contested the last general election from the party were because of their actions which went against the party norms.
He added that these people had visited the Central head office without notifying the party president and had requested the Central head office to reimburse part of their election expenditure, which is against party policy.
M Tombi further told the media that these individuals had failed to attend party meetings despite sending notice, had not picked up calls made by the party president and had never visited the party office after election and hence the party had taken the decision to expel them.
Kh Ranjit, however, has been retained after he apologised to the party.
He also appealed the people who have been expelled to visit the party office and enquire if they want to know any information.
Regarding the shortage of fertiliser during the sowing season, M Tombi appealed the Government to do the needful to solve the problem.
