Shiv Sena warns of street protest over urea crisis

Taking non-distribution of urea fertilizer to farmers very seriously, Shiv Sena Manipur president M Tombi has warned of launching street protest with farmers if the government fails to distribute urea in time to farmers.
M Tombi informed media persons at Shiv Sena state office, Babupara here on Wednesday that farmers of the state desperately need urea at his point of time but it was very unfortunate that the government is unable to ensure the essential plant food to farmers in time.
He urged the government to look into the matter seriously and warned of launching street protest along with farmers if the government fails to take immediate steps for providing urea to farmers.
He also strongly condemned alleged stocking of urea at residential complexes of businessmen.
On the other hand, M Tombi informed that the party will held candidates in the municipal and zila parishad elections likely to be held in September/October this year as per the decision taken during a general body meet held on July 7 .
The general body meet also approved expulsion of TT Haokip, Toijam Deven, Ninghor Jajo and Kh Ranjit for their attempt to collect money from the party's head office.
However, Kh Ran jit confessed to indulging in anti-party activity and sought pardon.
Accordingly, Ranjit has been kept under observation and the decision on whether he will be expelled or not will be taken later, Tombi said and dismissed claims made by former candidates of the party namely TT Haokip, Toijam Deven and Ninghor Jajo.
