Active cases drop to 15 : No new cases reported for fourth time in April

Imphal, April 30 2022:
For the second consecutive day, no Covid-19 positive case was detected in the State even though 122 samples were tested during the last 24 hours.
This is the fourth time in April that no positive case has been reported in the last 24 hours.
Earlier Manipur did not see any new cases on April 22, April 26 and April 29 .
With two more Covid-19 positive people discharged from home isolation following recovery, the total number of active cases has come down to 15 from the 17 reported on April 29 and all of them belong to the general population.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State as on Saturday is 1,37,220 (general population 1,32,206 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
It is inclusive of 1,35,085 recovered cases (general population 1,30,078 and Central security personnel 5007) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.44 per cent whereas the death toll remains unchanged at 2120 .
A total of 143 D-type oxygen cylinders and 13 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
None of the 300 Covid beds of JNIMS and 190 of RIMS are currently occupied, according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,44,301 (first dose 15,56,766, second dose 12,04,425 and precautionary dose 83,110) .
Till Saturday, 61.67 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 51.33 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
