Imphal, April 30 2022:
Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) lauded both groups of Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) for signing the historic agreement of unification in the greater interest of the Zeliangrong people.
The ZU (AMN) appreciated Raitu Chawang and Jenchui Kamei for acknowledging the sentiment and aspiration of Zeliangrong civil organisations.
In a release issued by its media cell, the Union also appealed for unity and reconciliation among all negotiating Naga armed groups, political parties and civil society organisations for realising the political aspiration of the Naga people.
"The Nagas are currently a divided family under the divisive policies of Indian government which is leading to long drawn political talk and could not meet the Naga political aspiration till date.
On top of that many political groups, CSOs as well as national workers expressing different opinions and voices over the Naga political talk, observed the union.
It added that the Government of India (GOI) had for this reason tactfully delayed the Naga political solution which is acceptable and honourable to both the parties.
It appealed to all the stakeholders concerned to come together and chalk out a workable solution in the greater interest of Naga people, for Nagas had sacrificed, suffered and stood together in the long struggle for independence.
Time has come to stand together as one people and one goal for achieving our long political goal of the Naga people, it added.
