Non-natives appeared in JNV test: Jiribam student bodies

Jiribam units of AMSU, MSF, DESAM and KSA have expressed their disappointment over the manner in which some students from outside Jiribam district appeared in the entrance exam for admission to class VI in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) on Saturday by attaching themselves to some schools of the district.
Addressing a press meet near RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Babupara here on Saturday in the presence of leaders of the four student bodies, DESAM Jiribam president L Bilaksh Meetei stated that in the JNV entrance exam held on Saturday at RK Sanatombi Devi Viclya-laya, they came across some students from neighbouring Assam and other districts of the state appearing in it by attaching themselves to some unknown private schools or government schools with few students, which are located in Jiribam.
While expressing serious resentment that the said discrepancies were not noticed by the Jiribam AI and DI of ZEO, he declared that the student bodies will closely monitor sincerity and efficiency of the ZEO, DI and AI in discharging their respec -tive task as well as that of the principals and headmasters of the schools concerned.
