Imphal, September 10 2026:
The Koubru Range Liangmai Women Union has sought capital punishment for all the Kuki terrorists involved in the brutal murder of six Konsakhul villagers and dismembering of their bodies.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, Koubru Range Liangmai Women Union convenor M Namdinthuiliu said that the Naga people were hurt and shocked beyond measure by the brutal murder and butchering of the six Naga hostages from Konsakhul village.
Since the six innocent men were found murdered and butchered on June 10, 2026, both Naga and Meitei people have been demanding justice.
Suspension of Kuki police personnel Thangginlian Vaiphei for his alleged involvement in the murder of the six Konsakhul villagers is not enough.
All the leaders of Leilon Vaiphei village and Kuki terrorists involved in the barbaric murder and butchering of the innocent hostages must be arrested, prosecuted and awarded capital punishment, she asserted.
She also recalled how the nine Naga MLAs protested the inordinate delay in delivering justice by staying away from the last sitting of the eighth session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
The Koubru Range Liangmai Women Union convenor asserted that the suspension of police Constable Thangginlian Vaiphei will not soothe the hurt sentiment nor dampen the collective movement of Meitei and Naga people for justice.
She added that the collective movement for justice will continue until all the Leilon Vaiphei Kuki village leaders and Kuki terrorists involved in the gruesome murder of the six Naga hostages are arrested and awarded exemplary punishment.
