Imphal, January 19 2024: Two from the State, Ninthoujam Geoffrey and Chiphang A Worchuiyo, are among 32 officers of 2007 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) empanelled for holding the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Centre.

Notably, C Arthur Worchuiyo, IAS (MT 2007) has been selected for the post of Joint Development Commissioner (JDC), MEPZ SEZ, Chennai.

A communication has been sent by Sumit Kumar Sachan, Under Secretary to Government of India to relieve C Arthur Worchuiyo from his duties as Secretary to the Government of Manipur with the direction to take up new assignments at the earliest.
