Bandh on Rangkhung Village Diversion road lifted

The villagers of Rangkhung Village have agreed to lift the bandh on Rangkhung Village Diversion road with immediate effect.
The above resolution was taken during a meeting held today in the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner Noney with representatives of NHIDCL and Rangkhung Village Authority in connection with the closure of Rangkhung Village Diversion road, Haochong Sub-Division, Noney.
The meeting was chaired by Noney DC Joseph Pauline Kamson, IAS and he stressed that the National Highway is the lifeline of the State and everyone residing along the stretch should ensure its development and maintain it.
After detailed deliberation, it was resolved during the meeting that the work for cutting off the said area for expansion of the market area will commence from the morning of January 20.Further it was agreed that the necessary drainage facilities as per drawing and specifications shall be prepared within 72 hours to avoid flooding of the village in the monsoon session from the water coming down the hills at MNB location.
It was also resolved that if necessary, separate corporate social responsibilities (CSR) may be processed and recommended by PMU, Noney for the approval of the competent authority of NHIDCL Headquarters.
Upon reaching on the aforementioned agreements, the villagers resolved to lift the bandh on Rangkhung Village Diversion road with immediate effect.
