35th Biennial Conference of HSAI concludes

The 35th Biennial Conference of Home Science Association of India (HSAI) which began on January 17, 2024, came to an end today at the auditorium of College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGAS), Umiam, Meghalaya.
The valedictory function was graced by S Phangnon Konyak, Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha (Nagaland); Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla, Vice Chancellor, NEHU; Dr Puranjan Das, former DDG (Agri Extension), ICAR, New Delhi; Dr VK Mishra, Director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam; Prof NVasugi Raaja, President, HSAI and Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal as presidium members, said a release issued by CAU.

Presentation of reports on the Conference and awards to winners of paper presentation, young scientist award, Mid Career Award and Senior Scientist Award were the main highlights of the function.
The three day long Conference featured technical sessions with 35 lead speakers from across the country.
More than 200 delegates attended the conference and there were 120 paper presentations and 80 poster presentations.
Besides, the faculties, staff and students of College of Food Technology, CAU, Lamphelpat, Imphal, virtually attended the valedictory function of the Biennial Conference which was conducted on the theme, "Multidisciplinary Approach in Home and Community Science for Sustainable Development" .
Prof L Nabachandra, Dean in-charge, College of Agriculture, Iroisemba along with faculty members and Scientists also viewed the live stream of the valedictory function.
