Book 'Churachandpur Da khundariba Meiteishing* released

Imphal, July 02 2023: Second edition of Kamal Toijamba's book titled 'Churachandpur da khundariba Meiteishing (Anisuba Sayol) has been released at Manipur Press Club here on Sunday.

The release function was attended by Manipur Sahitya Parishad president Longjam Joychandra as chief guest and Sahitya Akademi awardee Yumlembam Ibomcha as president while Manipur University of Culture assistant professor Dr Makhonmani Mongshaba reviewed the book.

Speaking at the function, Toijamba recounted that the first edition of the book was released 14/15 years back.

In view of the present conflict in the state, the second edition of the book is being released to make the people aware about the Meeteis residing in Churachandpur.

He continued that the book contains lifestyle of Meitei, number of Meitei villages in Churachandpur and Meitei census from time to time.
