Three arms, six bombs recovered, 217 curfew violators held

Situation remains tense in some places with sporadic incident of firing/ congregation of unruly mob during the last 48 hours while, situation was normal in most districts.
During the last 24 hours, state police and central forces conducted search operation in the vulnerable and fringe areas in both hill and valley districts, during which three arms and six bombs were recovered.
About 118 checkpoints are installed in different districts, both in the hill and the Valley, and police detained 217 persons in connection with curfew violation in different districts.
Movement of essential items is ensured along NH-37 .
Strict security measures are taken up in all vulnerable locations and security convoy is provided in sensitive stretches in order to ensure free and safe movement of vehicles Appeal is made to general public to extend all possible help in bringing normalcy in the state, to clarify any rumour by dialing rumour free number 9233522822 of Central Control room, and to return and deposit arms, ammunition and explosives to the police or security forces immediately.
