Imphal, July 02 2023:
Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) said that gunning down of three village volunteers at Khoijumantabi village in Kumbi assembly constituency of Bishnupur district on Sunday midnight was a part of unabated killing of Meetei people by Kuki Chin narco-terrorists since May 3 .
The tragic incident at Khoijumantabi village makes it clear that terror acts of Kuki-Chin narco-terrorists against Meetei community continues unabated for two months and both state and central governments are still unable to protect Meetei civilians.
Despite the tense situation prevailing in the state, the government of India is hesitating in taking punitive action against Kuki militants violating SoO ground rules nor any sign of containing the violence, a COCOMI statement said.
Even though BJP clarified that SoO preamble has protection of territorial integrity and administrative integrity of Manipur, Kuki-Chin narco-terrorists continue with their terror acts and does not care about the agreement, the COCOMI said adding that Khoijumantabi incident makes clear that Kuki-Chin Narco terrorists always provoke and attack Meetei community while the Meeteis always tried to defend themselves.
If there is no resolution to the ongoing violence and Kuki-Chin Narco terrorists are allowed to attack Meetei populace unabated, it is eminent the entire people of Manipur would wage a war against Government of India, the biggest conspirator of the ongoing conflict, the COCOMI said adding that Meetei people would be compelled to take this decision due to nefarious acts of the government of India.
