Further, she condemned the statement made by Chief Minister during a press briefing at Bir Tikendrajit Airport after a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah wherein he allegedly insinuated at a division of administrative responsibilities for the hills and the valley to be borne by the Central and State Government.
Stating that the people do not want to hear any account of more such meetings between the State and Central leaders, she added that the public only wants restoration of peace, upholding of the territorial integrity and dismissal of the separate administration demand.
"This is not the time to stage plays.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh should take immediate steps to save our motherland Manipur", she strongly asserted.
At Nepra Company Community Hall, the sit-in protest was organised by KWWA and Nepra Company Meira Paibi today.
The protest was kicked off with the offering of a floral tribute to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the conflict.
The protestors held many placards with messages such as "No to separate administration", "Withdraw SoO pact", "Drive out unregistered villages" etc.
Separately, the irate womenfolk of Icham Khunou burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister N Biren Singh denouncing the act of "staging drama" at a time when all efforts should be poured into restoring peace in the State.
The effigies were burnt towards the end of a sit-in protest staged by Icham Khunou Meira Paibis today.
An unnamed woman who participated in the protest called it unfortunate that the Prime Minister has still not said a word about the crisis that has besieged the State for two months.
She also questioned why the Union Home Minister had not kept his word to resolve the conflict within 15 days.
Stating that it is not the time for political dramas, she added that even if the Chief Minister has made mistakes in the past, he must apologize to the public and all parties must unite to arrive at a common solution for the conflict.
