Time to unite, not to dwell on political differences'

Social Welfare minister Heikham Dingo has stated that it is now the time to unite and work together instead of dwelling on political differences.
He made the statement during a public meeting of clubs, organisations and Meira Paibi from various villages of Sekmai AC, held at Kadangband community hall on Tuesday.
Dingo informed the gath-ering'that he will be urging the chief minister to remove the Assam Rifles from the constituency and instead deploy state forces, as demanded by the people.
He then assured of taking a proactive role in protecting the integrity of the state.
Stating that over 90 per cent of the violent incidents in Imphal West is occurring in Sekmai AC, the minister assured to urge the CM to deploy additional state forces in the area.
He continued that states forces are on standby to provide security to the various farmlands in the constituency.
Later, a two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to village volunteer S Subol, who was killed at Kadangband in an attack by Kuki militants on Monday.
