Women body in Uripok and RIMS road continue skill development training programmes

The Women's Welfare Association, Uripok Sorbon Thingel Haorongbam Leikai and RIMS Road South Women's Welfare Association carried forward their initiative of skill development training programmes for the internally displaced peoples.
As a part of their continuous effort to impart skills, the volunteers of the two bodies conducted a skill development training programme on how to make candle and incense sticks for the inmates (displaced persons) taking shelter at a relief camp run by Thangmeiband United Club at THAU ground.
The women bodies also assured to ensure 80 percent of the profit gained from the products produced by inmates for the welfare of the inmates and another 20 percent for welfare of the village defence volunteers who are standing guard in the peripheral areas, said the women associations in a statement.
Mention may be made that the women bodies have conducted the same skill development training programme at a relief camp located at The Trade and Expo Centre, Lamboikhongnangkhong.
