Nambol rally calls for restoring peace

Demanding the state and central governments to restore peace and normalcy in the crisis-hit state, large number of people including meira paibi and students took out a rally in and around Nambol, on Sunday.
The rally participated by volunteers and members of Phoijing Awang Apunba Nupi Lup, Phoijing Awang Youth Club, students and locals of Phoijing, started from Kaboklei Keithel Phoijing and continued till the PAYC Ground.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the rally, Nupi Lup president W Suni Leima lamented that the state and central governments have failed to bring an end to the crisis which has been raging for almost a year now.
She further said that authorities concerned should ensure return of peace in the state where people of different communities have been settling in harmony since time immemorial.
The government should also ensure that the displaced people return to their respective houses.
The rally participants also raised slogans like "Implement NRC in Manipur", "Abrogate SoO immediately", "Down down Kuki narco-terrorists" and "Territorial integrity of Manipur cannot be compromised" .
