YWC, PCC ease to fifth straight victories in U-14 Boys Cricket Tourney

YWC, Langthabal and PCC, Kwakeithel Mayaikoibi posted their fifth straight victories in the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament today to remain Group B and D toppers respectively and inch towards quarter finals.
YWC defeated PTCC, Patsoi by 6 wickets at Kongba Khunou to seal their fifth win.
Toss winners PTCC were bundled out for 99 runs in 27.2 overs with Indrakumar Sanjenbam (3/11) and Kelvinson Khoisnam (3/23) leading the YWC bowling attack before Seram Tondonsana 31 and Sanathoi Sanjenbam (30) led the chase and sealed the victory in 21.2 overs with 6 wickets left to spare.

Indrakumar was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at THAU ground in Thangmeiband, PCC overwhelmed TRAU, Kwakeithel by 112 runs courtesy a brilliant ton from Lucky Thokchom for the fifth win.
Lucky Thokchom clobbered 21 fours and 7 sixes on the way to his 82-ball 165 before PCC were bundled out for 251 runs in 27.4 overs.
TRAU, chasing 252 for the win, ended up collecting 139/8 in 30 overs to end their three game winning streak as PCC bowlers were too strict with their bowlings.
For TRAU, Sushanta (3/15), Mutum Swabhiman (2/20) and Treeny Arubam (2/59) shared seven wickets as Lamnganba (2/9) and Pravin Kumar (2/19) led the frugal bowling attack for PCC.
Lucky was eventually declared player of the match.
The day also saw TCMDC, Thongju defeating YESSDAN, Ningthoukhong by 150 runs for their 3rd Group A victory at PTRC ground and Al-Ameen, Lilong crushing KCC, Kongba by 252 runs for their fourth Group C win at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.
Vishonath Laishram shone with a knock of 98 runs off 70 balls as Moirangthem Romesh hit a half-century (56 off 43) and picked three wickets (3/35 in 6 overs) to help TCMDC register the big win.
Nongshaba Sapam of TCMDC finished with the best bowling figures of 4/14 in this match to help skittle out YESSDAN for 89 after they posted a commanding total of 239/4 .
Meanwhile Umar 78 and Arish 56 raised Al-Ameen to 300/7 before Shohel Akter (6/12) and Raqib Nongjaimayum (3/22) set up KCC's collapse at 48 in 16.4 overs to seal the huge win.
