Delegates from 18 American Universities visit Karunya University

With the objective to establish academic and research collaborations and work together in the areas of faculty & student exchange, joint academic & research programs, and transfer of technology, a delegation of 28 experts from 18 American Universities visited Karunya University on February 18, 2024 .
The visit of the US Education Trade Mission was initiated and facilitated by the US Commercial Services in India and the US Consulate General, Chennai, said a release.
The Education Trade Mission consisted of senior officials of Universities such as SUNY Buffalo, University of Texas San Antonio, St Mary's University Texas, City University of Seattle, Clarkson University, Park University, Bryant University, Arizona State University, University of Wisconsin Stout, Penn College of Technology, University of Arkansas, Catholic University of America, Kennesaw State University, George Washington University, Marymount University, University of Utah, University of San Diego, Saint Louis University.

The delegation was received by Dr G Prince Arulraj, the Vice Chancellor.
The delegates held discussions with the senior-level officials and academicians.
They also visited the laboratories and research facilities of Karunya University and interacted with the faculty and student community.
Notably, Karunya University is entering into MOUs with these Universities to further the US collaborations.
The University is also planning to establish an Indo-American Forum for joint academic and research programs on Industry 5.0 .
Karunya University has already established an AERONET facility to monitor the air quality and aerosols in collaboration with NASA, USA.
The current visit is expected to augment the research activities of Karunya University in the Industry 5.0 ecosystem, dealing with technologies and tools such as AI, ML, DS, IoT, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Quantum Computing, 3D Printing, and Hydrogen Fuel Cells.
