No need to lose hope over cancer diagnosis: KK Wahengbam

Like Minded Group (LMG) organised a felicitation function for KK Wahengbam, who received the Yendrenbam Godadhor Memorial Award, in a function held at IMA hall, Lamphelpat on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, KK Wahengbam, who was a cancer patient, remarked that being diagnosed With cancer was lucky for him, stating that he met many supportive friends, who gave him the courage to fight and overcome this disease.
Thus, he urged all cancer patients not to lose hope after learning about their health status.
Recounting his tenure as an announcer for All India Radio, KK Wahengbam said that he has now become a differently able person.
He wrote his book, 'Ei amadi cancer' (I and cancer), after repeated request from his younger brother Rakesh Naorem, he stated, while conveying that he will continue to write more books in the future.
The function was also attended by Imphal West ZP ex-up adhyakshya Dr L Bobby, LMG chief advisor Wangkhemcha Shamjai and social worker Dr Romen.
MU research scholar Nando Ningombam shared his thoughts on the book.
