MLA assures skill training to camp inmates

Thanga MLA Tong-bram Robindro has assured that as per the demands of the displaced people staying in relief camps for providing work for income generation, he will make arrangement for conduct of training in hand-icraft, weaving and farming at nearby firms and farms by providing interest free loans and requisite materials.
Speaking during his visit to relief camps set up in his constituency and distribu-tion of Rs 500 each to 115 dis-placed people by Bishnupur district administration under first phase of CM N Biren's 'Onetime financial assistance for clothing and personnel belonging', MLA T Robindro acknowledged the importance of creating income generation activities and farming oppor-tunities for displaced people as well as education of students staying in relief camps.
Stating that since foothill areas face risk of being at-tacked by Kuki militants, he informed that steps have been taken to beef up security in such risk prone areas.
The MLA also assured to provide all necessary support to 15 relief camps opened in Thanga assembly constituency with help from the public and district administration.
During his visit, he also interacted with inmates of newly opened relief camp at Thanga Moirangthem along with providing relief mate-rials.
