MBC extends gratitude to Nagaland Joint Christian Forum

The Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) has expressed profound gratitude to the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum for their care and concern shown through the visit ofa30-member team to lmphl & Kangpokpi on July 6,2023 .
In a letter addressed to Rev Dr N Papino of Nagaland Joint Christian Forum, Rev Dr Vevo Phesao of Fellowship ofNaga Baptist Churches and Rev Dr Wati Aier of Forum for Naga Reconciliation, the general secretary of MBC, Rev K Losii Mao stated that the later is deeply moved by their concern for those who have lost their loved ones, lost their properties and rendered homeless due to the spiralling violence which has divided neighbours, friends and communities in Manipur.
Notably, the Interfaith Forum for Peace & Harmony (IFPH) of Manipur along with MBC welcomed the 30-mem-ber team from Nagaland at the Press Club.
After interacting with the press, the visiting team from Nagaland prayed for peace in Manipur and proceeded to Kangpokpi to meet with the Church leaders and displaced people.
At Kangpokpi, the team also prayed for peace and called for restraint over revenge by all.
In the letter, MBC also thanked the visitors for their offer of friendship and solidarity which reassures the people of Manipur that they are not alone at this time jot suffering, pain & loss.
"Their visit will impact Manipur positively and the appeal for peace will be heard by peoples of all communities", added MBC.
MBC further prayed that the Gold Almighty will grant the visiting team long & healthy life so that they continue die good work of peace with the wisdom from above.
