GFM condemns heinous murder of 3

Condemning the heinous murder of three innocent Meiteis at Kwakta at their homes on August 5, the Global Manipur Federation (GMF) has appealed to all concerned to deliver swift and impartial justice to the victims and their grieving families.
In a statement, GMF said that they are deeply saddened by the killing of unarmed civilians by Kuki militants after torturing them .
The Federation also called upon the international community to acknowledge the gravity of the heinous crime.
Saying that the 'reported failure' of 9 Assam Rifles to prevent such acts of violence should be investigated, the GMF said the episode at Kwakta highlights a critical lapses in security measures.
A thorough investigation must be conducted to hold those responsible accountable , it demanded.
The Federation further demanded immediate review of the Kuki militants' role in the ongoing strife in the State.
Meiteis have been cleansed from Moreh and Churachandpur, the GMF claimed.
Saying that the escalating conflict between the Meiteis and Kukis demand immediate attention and resolution from all stakeholders, the Federation urged all stakeholders concerned to engage in meaningful dialogue and work towards a lasting resolution that promotes peace, harmony and unity.
