Meiteis stranded in Myanmar return to Asaam Rifles camp

Imphal, August 06 2023:
Around 30 Meitei people from Moreh, who had fled to Myanmar after Kukis started setting fire to Meitei homes in the border town on the night of May 3, returned from Myanmar on Sunday night and sought refuge at the Key Location Point (KLP) camp of 5 Assam Rifles in Moreh.
Another seven displaced Meiteis (4 men and 3 women) from Moreh, had come back from Myanmar on August 4 and been staying at the camp as well.
So far, a total of 47 Meitei are at the KLP camp.
