Many continue to extend relief items to the people who have been displaced by the ongoing conflict in the State.
Tera Boys' Alumni 1980 Class VIII Batch today provided food items for children staying at the shelter camp set up in Samurou Government High School.
College of Food Technology, CAU Lamphelpat, Dean, Ng Iboyaima also demonstrated the process of making papad to the inmates of the shelter camp.
Th Mangi, secretary of the Alumni, shared that the food items were provided to help the people who have been displaced by the present conflict and added that the Alumi will extend similar assistance in other places.
About 52 displaced persons including 25 children from Churachandpur Kangvai, Tangjeng, Sugnu, Pangaltabi, Sangaithel, Moreh and Torbung Bangla are currently taking refuge at the shelter camp.
Staff of Mekola Gulap Higher Secondary School also provided relief materials to the people staying at the shelter camp set up in the school.
Speaking to the media, K Tiken Singh, Principal, Mekola Gulap Higher Secondary School, shared that the shelter camp was opened in the school under the supervision of Imphal West District Administration.
He informed that about 160 displaced people from Churachandpur are taking refuge at the camp.
K Tiken also appealed to the Government to restore peace in the State and take up measures for rehabilitation of people staying in shelter camps.
All Uripok Apex Body under the supervision of Uripok AC MLA Kh Raghumani Singh today distributed relief materials at the shelter camp set up in Lamsang Praja High School.
Meanwhile, to help the people who have been displaced by the ongoing conflict and are currently taking refuge at shelter camps, Keishamthong Longjam Leirak Meira Paibi today provided a monetary aid to COCOMI during a simple function held at Longjam Leirak Akham Mandop.
