Pharmacy at Phougakchao looted

A Meitei pharmacy opened at Phougakchao Ekhai Makha Bazar was reportedly tooted by unknown miscreants, who came from the direction of Churachandpur in a convoy 10 vehicles including a Fortuner and Bolero on Thursday around 1.56 pm.
Although the convoy appeared to be a movement of group of ambulance, district police and VIP, the miscreants after reaching the pharmacy, broke open the backdoor and looted the shop.
As per a report, the pharmacy is attached to a house.
However, the house had been set on fire during the May 3 violence but the pharmacy did not suffer any damage.
On receiving news of the incident, the pharmacy owner, who is staying in a relief camp at Moirang tried to enter Phougakchao but was prevented from mov -ing forward by the Assam Rifles personnel on duty.
However, he was able to go to the pharmacy with AR after one-and-half hour and retrieved the remaining items.
A report has been filed to the police in this regard.
