Meitei Society Churachandpur celebrates foundation day

Imphal, April 07 2024: Meitei Society, Churachandpur celebrated its 67th Foundation Day at Kamakhya Pemton College in Hiyangthang yesterday.

It was attended by All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) president Bijoy Kakchingtabam, CCSK president Jeetendra Ningomba, Meitei Council Moreh president Mayanglambam Thoiba, Meitei Council Churachandpur president Moirangthem Thoiba and Kamakhya Pemton College principal Wahengbam Nimai as presidium members.

At the event, Meitei Society Churachandpur general secretary Ningthoujam Romesh said that since the Government of Manipur has made repeated claims about peace & normalcy returning in the State, the Government should take necessary steps to resettle the internally displaced persons in their native places immediately.

The gathering also offered floral tributes and observed one minute of silence to pray for the brave heroes who gave their lives in the ongoing conflict.
