Army holds medical camp, AR fights fire

Spear Corps of the Indian Army organised a medical camp for residents of four villages in Tumukhong area of East Imphal district on the occasion of World Health Day on Sunday.
The medical camp was organised with the objective to enhance the meagre medical facilities in the area post ethnic violence.
The medical camp benefitted about 500 villagers, providing general check-ups for prevalent health concerns and dispensing necessary medications.
It aimed to address common health issues prevalent within the community, ensuring accessible healthcare services and improving overall well-being.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles extinguished a forest fire that was spreading towards Yangoubung village in Chandel district on April 8.In response to an emergency call, the Assam Rifles promptly mobilised their troops and resources to combat the raging forest fire threatening the community thereby preventing the flames from spreading deeper into the village and surroundings, according to PRO IGAR (S) .
