SVEEP campaign held at Senapati

Senapati, April 07 2024: Gearing up for the forthcoming 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024, the District Election Officer, Senapati conducted SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) campaign yesterday at Astro Turf, Senapati.

During the campaign, Ngaonii Panii, SDC Senapati stated that the main objective of SVEEP campaign is to spread awareness on voter enrolment and seeking maximum participation from the eligible voters to turn out on the polling day.

He mentioned that Senapati district has about 1.52 voters which turn out to be one of the largest among hill districts in the State.

On bringing inclusiveness to this Lok Sabha election 2024 he said that provision has been made possible for all the voters including differently abled persons and 80+ citizens so that no voters are left behind.

As a part of the campaign, football exhibition matches between District 11 and SDOAM (Senapati District Olympic Association Manipur) 11 and later between SDBA (Senapati District Badminton Association) and SDOAM Veterans were played.

P P Ronald, MCS, Project Director DRDA Nodal Officer for Complaints and Voter Helpline administered the pledge to the players and public gathering.

The DEO, Senapati also distributed T- shirts and caps to the players.

An audio recorded voice on English and respective dialects of the district was also played to the gathering on voting.

Earlier, the second randomisation of polling personnel in respect of 3 assembly segments of Senapati district was held today at Conference Hall, DEO/DC Office, Senapati for the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Elections - 2024 .

The randomisation process was conducted in the presence of Ujjwal Kumar, IAS, General Observer 2- Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency via video conference, Mamoni Doley, IAS, District Election Officer/ DC, Senapati, Ningreingam Leisan, MCS, ARO 48- Mao (ST) AC/ SDO Songsong, A.Adahrii Maheo, MCS, Nodal Officer for Human Resource Management/ CEO/ADC Senapati and his team.
