YUCC, YPHU cruise in MNCA 0-14 Boys Tournament

YUCC and YPHU made light work of their respective opponents in Thursday's fixtures of the MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament.
YUCC hammered YWC by eight wickets in their Group C meeting at PTRC Ground, Patsoi.
The winning side opted to held and bundled out their tame opponents for a meagre 60 in 15.1 overs.
YUCC's trio of K Malangba, Loitongbam Joychand and M Ricky wreaked havoc on the YWC batting order, equally sharing nine wickets between them.
In their innings, Daniel Seram and Khoisnam Kelvinson were the only batters who could score in double figures for YWC.
After their superb bowling show, YUCC needed seven overs to knock off the runs for the loss of two wickets.
Man of the match M Ricky 27 not out) and M Amitkiyon 15 not out) guided their team to an emphatic win after both Bonny Thokchom (5) and N Reshan (l) fell to Yumnam brightson's spell.
YPHU, on the other hand, overpowered RULE by 128 runs in their Group D encounter at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.
Put in to bat, YPHU produced a brilliant batting performance to post a mammoth 233/8 in their 25 overs.
Irom Eshwor stole the show smashing unbeaten 113 off 63 balls while Loktongbam Tomthilnganba scored 16.Two each of YPHU's wickets fell to K Sanjit and Ng Nongpokn-ganba, and one each to Denin and Sanathoi.
In reply, RULE were all out for 105 in 21.2 overs as Indra-kumar (29) and Sanathoi (13) were the only batters who delivered notable contributions in their run chase.
YPHU's bowling saw Irom Eshwor, Loktongbam Han-ish and Purujit Mutum pick up two wickets each while Konsam Mangal, Anderson Keithellakpam and Loktongbam Tomthilnganba bagged one each in their comprehensive win.
Irom Eshwor was adjudged the man of the match for his all-round display.
