MNCA : YUCC, YPHU victorious in U-14 tourney

Imphal, April 06 2023:
YUCC Kwakeithel Moirangpurel and YPHU Lalambung emerged victorious in today's league matches of the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament.
While YUCC beat YWC Langthabal by eight wickets in the first match at PTRC Ground at Patsoi Part IV, YPHU sealed a comfortable 128 runs win over RULE Meitram at PCC Ground Mayaikoibi.

Batting first YWC set a lowly target of 61 runs with only two batsmen scoring double digit run viz Daneil Seram (13 runs off 14 balls) and Khoisnam Kelvinson (11 runs off 21 balls) .
At least three bowlers of the Kwakeithel side K Malangba, Loitongbam Joychand and M Ricky dismissed three wickets each.
YUCC completed the chase in just 7 overs with eight wickets remaining as M Rickey knocked an unbeaten 27 runs off 19 deliveries while M Amitkiyon hit unbeaten 15 runs off 11 balls.
Another 15 runs came from extras.
YWC's Yumnam Brightson fell two wickets in the innings.
M Ricky won the man of the match title.
YPHU vs RULE
YPHU sealed a convincing 128 runs win over RULE in the following match.
YPHU's Irom Eshwor gave a spectacular all round performance in the match as he smashed 113 runs off 63 balls with an impressive strike rate of 179.37 and took two wickets.
Opting to bat first, YPHU scored 223/8 in the 25 overs with majority of the total score coming from skipper Eshwor and extras (80 runs).
Other than Eshwor, it was only Loktongbam Tomthilnganba who hit double digit runs (15 runs) .
The wicket takers of the losing side were Denis Nahakpam (1 wkt), Konthoujam Sanjit Singh (2 wkts), Ng Nongpoknganba (2 wkts) and Sanathoi Sanjenbam (1) .
YPHU showed exceptional class while fielding too as they bundled out the Langthabal side for 105 in 21.2 overs.
The wicket takers of the winning side were Irom Eshwor (2 wkts), Loktongbam Hanish Singh (2 wkts), Purujit Mutum (2 wkts), Konsam Mangal Singh (1 wkt), Anderson Keithellakpam (1 wkt) and Loktongbam Tomthinganba (1 wkt) .
Eshwor was declared man of the match.
