Many greet on Good Friday, Easter Sunday

Governor Anusuiya Uikey, chief minister N Biren Singh, ministers and various socio-religious organisations have extended their warm wishes to the people of Manipur, especially the Christian community on the occasion of Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
In her message, Governor Anusuiya said: "Lord Jesus, sent with the objective to bring a new world order based on truth, humility, sacrifice, equality, compassion and peace, is a giant among humans and His preaching of peaceful co-existence and love for thy neighbours has withstood the test of time.
Good Friday exemplifies His supreme sacrifice for all the sins of mankind and His resurrection represents the victory of good over evil" .
"On this holy and pious occasion, let all of us rededicate to the noble ideals of peace, harmony and brotherhood espoused by Him for a better world devoid of all evils.
Let this sacred day be observed in its true spirit , the Governor added.
Sharing his view, CM Biren reminded all concerned that the crucifixion of the Lord on Good Friday and his resurrection on Easter Sunday are manifestations of the triumph of good over evil.
His teaching emphasises a world free from inequality and injustice, the CM said and wished that 'goodness of Good Friday and Easter Sunday surround us all year long and bless us with peace and prosperity in abundance' .
On the other hand, ministers Awangbow Newmai and Nem-cha Kipgen, Meetei Christian Churches Council Manipur general secretary Peace Senjam and Manipur Baptist Convention general secretary K Losii Mao wished the people of Manipur for understanding, peace and harmony, on the occasion of Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
The apex body of the Kuki tribes in Manipur, Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) also extended greetings to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
KIM president Ch Ajang Khongsai, while greeting the people of Manipur on the occasion, urged everyone to rededicate to the noble principles of love and sacrifice, and of peace and justice in the land of Manipur.
"Struck with terror and His soul overwhelmed with grief, yet for the love of His people, He bore our sins and died on the cross", KIM president said.
He continued that Good Friday embodies the supreme sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ and the crucifixion, and the resurrection on Easter Sunday, which is the fulfilment of the purpose of the coming of Christ - the saving of the world from its sins - is a significant day for the Christians all over the world.
"As we solemnly honour the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and celebrate His glorious resurrection, let us rededicate our lives to the noble principles of love and sacrifice, and of peace and justice in our land", he added.
KIM also wished the people of Manipur love and joy on the occasion of May Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
